This manual is published in accordance with Section 51 of the Promotion of Access to Information Act, 2000 (Act No. 2 of 2000) (PAIA; "the Act") and aims to address the requirements of the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 ("POPI"). The Act enshrines the provisions of Section 32 of the Constitution, which grants the right of access to information held by the State or by private individuals or entities, when such information is necessary to protect rights.
